Romania’s Tax Agency ANAF has found EUR 2.3 billion of additional tax obligations that need to be paid by local companies in the first half of the year, up 100% compared to the same period in 2014. The authority had better results compared to last year, as ANAF directed its searches to areas with high tax evasion risk, reads the institution’s press release. ANAF also found some EUR 1.3 billion worth of damages from tax evasion, for which it filed criminal complaints to other state institutions.
