Romania's State Treasury sees EUR 11 mln surplus at the end of 2015

The State Treasury posted a surplus of almost EUR 11.2 million at the end of 2015, according to a Government Decision published by the Finance Ministry. The Treasury’s revenues totaled EUR 179.4 million whereas the expenses reached EUR 168.2 million, reports local Economica.net. The revenues were 23.8% below the estimates for 2015 whereas the expenses were 17.15% lower compared to what was expected. The interest income totaled EUR 147 million whereas the revenues from fines, penalties and confiscations amounted to EUR 31.6 million. The State Treasury’s expenses mostly represented interest on direct internal public debt, which reached EUR 157.1 million whereas the interest on deposits and availabilities held in the General Account of the Treasury amounted to EUR 5.8 million. editor@romania-insider.com
