Romania’s railways operator CFR Calatori ends 2013 with operating losses of EUR 89 mln

Romania’s railway operator CFR Calatori ended last year with operating losses estimated at RON 390 million (some EUR 89 million), down compared to some EUR 122 million reported in 2012, according to Alexandra Gatej, chairman of the company’s board, quoted by local Ziarul Financiar. The passenger traffic dropped 15 percent year-on-year, to some 48 million, while prices increased on average by some 10 percent.
