Romanian public television records EUR 5.3 mln losses

The Romanian public television recorded losses of over RON 24 million (EUR 5.3 mln) last year, according to the report of the Romanian Television submitted to the Parliament. The television had total revenues of EUR 112 million. Its operating income reached EUR 110 million whereas the financial income totaled EUR 1.3 million, reports local Agerpres. The total expenses amounted to EUR 117 million. The operating expenses reached EUR 114 million and the financial expenses totaled EUR 3.2 million. According to the report, 2015 was a complicated year for the Romanian television, as the board administration was dismissed on September 23. In July 2015, the Tax Agency ANAF seized the company’s accounts for debts worth EUR 2.3 million. editor@romania-insider.com
