The industrial producer prices rose by 3.2% in Romania at the end of February compared to the same month last year, following an annual advance of 2.2% in January. The prices increased by 4.5% in the euro area and by 5.3% in the EU in February year-on-year, according to data published yesterday by the EU’s statistical office Eurostat. In February, the industrial producer prices increased in almost all EU member states except for Luxembourg (- 3.1%). The most significant increases were reported in Belgium (14.8%), the Netherlands (11%), and the UK (10.3%). At a monthly level, industrial producer prices decreased by 0.1% in Romania in February compared to the previous month. editor@romania-insider.com
