Romania's Highways Company awards EUR 1 bln tenders for IV Paneuropean Corridor segments

Romania's Highways Company CNADNR has chosen the costruction companies which will build four highway segments of the IV Paneuropean Corridor in the country, in contracts worth a total of EUR 1 billion. The association made of construction companies Romstrade, Monteadriano Engenharia e Construcao and Donep Construct has won the tender to build a segment of the Nadlac – Arad highway in Romania, the Romanian Highways Company has announced. The contract for this segment is worth EUR 93 million. A second segment of the Nadlac - Arad highway, which is part of the IV Paneuropean Corridor, will be built by Alpine Bau construction company, in a contract worth EUR 100 million. Spedition UMB SRL – Tehnostrade SRL – Carena SpA Impresa di Costruzioni have won the tender to build a first lot of the Timisoara – Lugoj highway segment, with an offer of EUR 51 million. A secon lot of the same highway segment went to Tirrena Scavi SpA – Societa Italiana per Condotte d’Acqua SpA – Cossi Costruzioni SpA, with a winning offer of EUR 108 million. The Lugoj – Deva highway segment will be built by Tirrena Scavi SpA – Societa Italiana per Condotte d’Acqua SpA – Cossi Construzioni SpA, which won the first lot with an offer of EUR 165 million. Strabag won the tender to build the first lot of the Orastie- Sibiu highway segment, a contract of EUR 134 million. A second lot of this segment went to Straco Grup SRL - Studio Corona SRL Civil Engineering, which submitted an offer of EUR 91.9 million. A third lot of this segment was attributed to Impregilo SpA, a contract of EUR 147 million. The fourth lot of the Orastie – Sibiu highway segment was won by the Astaldi SpA – Euroconstruct Trading '98 SRL – Astalrom SA association, which filed an offer of EUR 117 million.
