Romania's Finance Ministry borrows EUR 67 mln at higher yield

Romania’s Public Finance Ministry borrowed EUR 67.9 million on Thursday, March 19, by selling bonds maturing in five years and a month. There was strong demand from investors after the US Fed Reserve indicated a slower growth for interest rates in the US, reports local Mediafax. The Treasury received offers of EUR 255 million but only attracted the amount provided in the loan plan for March. The average yield per year amounted to 2.58%, above 2.53% in mid-February, when the state borrowed EUR 158 million by reopening the same bonds. editor@romania-insider.com
