Romania's current account deficit increases to EUR 906 mln

Romania’s balance of payments current account recorded a deficit of EUR 906 million between January and October 2015, compared to a deficit of EUR 490 million in the same period of 2014. The deficit grew due to the increase in the trade balance deficit and the primary income balance deficit, according to Romania’s National Bank. Romania’s long-term debt totaled EUR 75 billion on October 31, this year, down by 6.3% compared to December 31, 2014. At the end of the first ten months of the year, the long-term foreign debt reached 78.5% of the total foreign debt. The short-term foreign debt dropped by 3% compared to December 31, last year, reaching EUR 19.4 billion. editor@romania-insider.com
