Romania’s Central Bank BNR has revised down its inflation forecast for the end of this year, from 3.5 percent to 3.3 percent, and increased by 0.1 percentage points the estimation for next year, from 3.2 percent to 3.3 percent, according to BNR governor Mugur Isarescu, quoted by local Mediafax. The monthly inflation rate in Romania, in March, was just 0.03 percent, while the yearly inflation (March 2014 compared to March 2013) was 1.04 percent, according to recent data from the National Statistics Institute. Romania’s annual inflation rate was 1.55 percent at the end of 2013, down from 1.88 percent the previous month. Irina Popescu, irina.popescu@romania-insider.com
