Romania's Catalina Ponor takes silver on the floor, but loses out again to American Alexandra Raisman

Catalina Ponor has won another medal for Romania in the London Olympics gymnastics competition – silver in the individual floor exercises final. Just half an hour after the bitter disappointment of losing the bronze in the beam competition due to an appeal by the US team for Alexandra Raisman, Catalina Ponor again lost out to the American in floor exercises final.

Raisman took the gold, but Ponor at least got a medal for her efforts this time, albeit the silver, with a score of 15.200 for her routine. Raisman scored 15.600, while the bronze medal went to Russia's Aliya Mustafina, scoring 14.900. Catalina's silver bring Romania's medal count to nine in total. Two golds, in shooting and gymnastics, five silvers and two bronze medals.
