Romania's Anticorruption Directorate to work with World Bank

The National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) recently signed a cooperation memorandum with the World Bank Group's Integrity Vice Presidency to mutually provide information for identifying and preventing fraud and corruption. Points of contact will be designated to facilitate and to confidentially share information, and regular meetings will be held to identify priority areas for the joint cooperation. The protocol was signed at the World Bank headquarters in Washington DC, during the third meeting of the International Corruption Hunters Alliance group, founded by the World Bank in 2010 and dedicated to the fight against corruption. The Vice Presidency for Integrity (INT) is an independent unit within the World Bank, which has the exclusive competence to investigate allegations of fraud and corruption in relation to activities funded by the World Bank and to apply penalties. editor@romania-insider.com
