Romanians get EUR 20 mln for insured broken phones

Romanians received compensation of EUR 20 million between 2009 and 2015 for having broken or lost over 70,000 insured mobile phones, according to local insurance broker Marsh Romania, reports local Profit.ro. The company has been providing mobile phone insurance since 2009. Last year, it had over 500,000 insured phones. The phone insurance covers any accidental damages, as well as the theft. The user needs to declare the theft to the police. The insurance policy will activate based on the document issued by the police. editor@romania-insider.com
