Romanians buy more diet products during summer

Romanians pay more attention to their physical aspect and health during summer, according to AlimenteSpeciale.ro, one of the largest online stores on the local market specialized in diet and therapeutic products for adults and children. As a result, the sales of diet products increase by more than 20% in July and August, when compared to other months. Women aged over 25 with above-average incomes represent 80% of the clients. They are usually interested in a healthy lifestyle and a good physical condition during summer. Romanians mainly buy natural sweeteners, non-hydrogenated oils, cereals, powders, juices, soups, vegetable milk, and low-calorie sweets in this period. The average value of a shopping basket reaches RON 250 (some EUR 55). AlimenteSpeciale.ro was launched in 2012. Its offer includes some 3,000 products destined for both children and adults. Some of the most well-known brands sold by the online store are Nestle, Aptamil, Isostar, Plasmon, Nutricia, Dr. Schar, Biaglut, Cereal Bio, Isola Bio, Fresenius Kabi, B.
