Romanian table tennis player Elizabeta Samara won the women’s singles title at Qatar Open in Doha on Sunday, February 22, 2015. She produced a surprise by defeating Germany’s Han Ying, one of the tournament’s favorites. Samara won the final match in four straight games, ended 11-6, 12-10, 11-6, 11-9. The title in Doha is the first Super Series win for the Romanian player and her third overall triumph.
