Romanian wins Contemporary Piano award in Madrid

The Miguel Angel Colmenero Foundation has awarded the Contemporary Piano award to 28 years old Romanian pianist Alexandru Belemuski. The Romanian received the award at the Annual Gala the Foundation recently organized in Madrid. The prize was given to Alexandru Belemuski for his interpretation of Suite for piano by Jesus Aranda in the Carmelo Bernaola composition competition. Spanish composer Sebastian Marine, a member of the jury, handed out the award to the Romanian pianist. All the winners performed in a concert organized after the Gala. Alexandru Belemuski was born in Giurgiu, Romania, in 1988. He’s been living in Spain since 2000, where he graduated from the Superior Music Conservatory in Aragon.
