Romanian window producer to invest EUR 10 mln in new factory

Bacau-based windows and doors producer Electric Plus, which operates under the brand Barrier, plans to invest EUR 10 million in a new production capacity this year. The company, which produces PVC windows and doors, recorded a turnover of EUR 23 million last year, up 36% year-on-year, reports local Wall-street.ro. In 2016, the producer carried out investments of EUR 1.1 million, including the investment in an apartment block for employees. Electric Plus bought an apartment building with 60 apartments, and the investment amounted to EUR 700,000. The firm plans to implement the SAP software this year, which will cost about EUR 500,000. It will also start building a new plant, with about EUR 10 million. The Barrier windows are produced in the Bacau factory, where more than 600 employees work.
