Romanian villagers in Viscri receive 31 cows from Ireland as part of a humanitarian project

More than 30 poor families from the Romanian village of Viscri, which became famous after Prince Charles of Wales bought an old house there in 1996, received cows from farmers in Ireland, as part of a humanitarian project that aims to develop disadvantaged communities. A total of 31 Romanian villagers received cows from the Irish farmers, the price of one cow reaching EUR 1,500, reports local Digi24. Dozens of other cows were sent to Bistrita, Cluj, Covasna, Teleorman, Prahova and Mures counties. Irina Popescu, irina.popescu@romania-insider.com
