Romanian UniCredit Tiriac Bank appoints Mihaela Lupu as new Chief Financial Officer

Mihaela Lupu (in picture) will be UniCredit Tiriac Bank’s new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) as of August 1, 2013, according to the bank. She is replacing Stanislav Georgiev, who concluded his five-year term within the bank. Mihaela Lupu, 38, has been with Romanian lender UniCredit Tiriac Bank for 15 years. Before being appointed as CFO, she held the position of director of Planning and Control within the Financial Department of the bank for three years. Lupu started her career in Bank Austria Creditanstalt Romania as a financial analyst. Between 2007 and 2010, she coordinated the Financial Control and IT system management department at UniCredit Tiriac Bank. As of March 2013, Lupu is a board member of UniCredit Leasing Corporation. Mihaela Lupu graduated the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies (ASE), the International Economic Relations faculty. Romanian UniCredit Tiriac Bank is part of UniCredit Group. The Romanian lender posted a net profit of EUR 13.7 million in the first quarter of 2013, up by 166 percent on the same period of 2012.
