Romanian travel agency reaches EUR 40 mln turnover threshold

Romanian travel agency Eximtur recorded a EUR 40 million turnover in 2014, up 9% over the previous year. The business travel services and the organization of events made up 63% of the company’s turnover. The incoming division grew six times, bringing to Romania 2,000 tourists from Austria, Slovenia, and the UK. The company paid in 2014 taxes and fees of over EUR 1 million. The division which performed best in the company was Eximtur Business, which attracted 70 new customers. Over 100,000 people traveled the country and abroad for business purposes. The agency invested last year EUR 100,000 in technology and opened a non-stop service for bookings, assistance, and information. Eximtur has 28 offices in 19 cities, 12 of which are franchises. editor@romania-insider.com
