Romanian tech entrepreneur buys one of the top local PR firms

Cluj-based investor Catalin Chis, who owns the group of tech companies Active Power Solutions (APS), will take over the majority stake in Graffiti PR, a top 3 PR and communications company in Romania. Chis has acquired an 86% stake in the company from Graffiti Marketing and Multimedia Holding SA, reports local Wall-street.ro. Graffiti PR, the exclusive affiliate of the global network Ketchum in Romania, posted a turnover of EUR 2.64 million in 2015. It currently has a team of 33 experts in communications. Catalin Chis said that he was a customer of Graffiti PR before acquiring it. “Together with the group APS, we will develop the necessary synergies,” he added. Graffiti PR became an affiliated member of the global network Ketchum in 2012. Catalin Chis owns the local software producer Life is Hard, with a turnover of almost EUR 1 million in 2015, which is listed on the alternative trading system of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, AeRO.
