Romanian students get three gold medals at the Junior Balkan Olympiad in Informatics

Romania’s team won three gold medals at the Junior Balkan Olympiad in Informatics organized between September 16 and September 19 in Ohrid, Macedonia. The Romanian juniors also got a bronze medal. Following these results, Romania ranked first among the 9 countries that participated in the competition, according to Romania’s Education Ministry. Ovidiu Razvan Harsan, Alexandru Petrescu and Andrei Ioan Nicolae won the gold medals, and Maria Alexandra Udristoiu got the bronze. The competition gathered 38 students from 9 countries. Romania wins first place at the International Geography Olympiad in Russia. Romanian gets his fourth gold medal at the International Olympiad in Informatics. Romania brings home four gold medals from the International Chemistry Olympiad. High school student wins first gold medal for Romania at the International Biology Olympiad.
