Romanian state-owned railways company CFR will sell via tender 1,000 retail spaces and land plots it owns, some 390,000 sqm, in order to improve its cash flow. Eight public tenders will be organized at the headquarters of the 8 regional CFR subsidiaries on July 22. Retail spaces total some 42,000 sqm, and land, some 347,000 sqm. The railway stations where these retail areas are located have been modernized at European standards, according to CFR, and offer access to 60 million passengers a year.
