The Romanian spa market attracted 120,000 Romanians and 20,000 foreigners in 2012, who spent some EUR 6.2 million in local spa facilities, according to an analysis from desprespa.ro. The amount does not include subscriptions to fitness or pools, nor beauty treatments such as slimming massage. The study revealed that the average spent on a relaxation treatment in Romania is of RON 150 – or the equivalent of some EUR 34. In total, about 184,000 relaxation treatments were offered in 2012 in Romania, when the volume of this market went up by 12 percent, according to estimations fro desprespa.ro. editor@romania-insider.com
