Romanian song of the week: 'You give me love' by Stefan Stan ft. Alex Velea

This week's song is still hot from the recording studio and features Stefan Stan, the winner of the first edition of the Voice of Romania competition, that ended in December last year. Stan recorded the song together with the HaHaHa Production, recording company of his coach in the show, Romanian artist Smiley.

Interest in Stefan Stan is high after winning the competition. We will probably be hearing this song on radio stations on a heavy rotation in the coming period. It has typical house/pop beat, and a somewhat familiar sounding synthesized brass section sample. The sound and production should place it firmly on nightclub playlists, though Stefan Stan's powerful voice would perhaps have been expected to have a more central part. It is, however, squarely aimed at the dance floor, and is never going to feature the voice in the way a pop ballad would. Looking forward to the next ones!
