Romanian Simona Halep, no longer one of the top three women's tennis players

Romania’s tennis ace Simona Halep is no longer one of the top three women's tennis players in the world. After she ended the 2015 season second in the WTA ranking, Halep fell to third after this year’s Australian Open tournament, being surpassed by Germany’s Angelique Kerber. According to the latest WTA singles ranking, Halep currently ranks fourth, with 4,745 points. American Serena Williams continues to be the best woman tennis player, with 9,245 points, followed by German Angelique Kerber with 5,700 points, and Polish Agnieszka Radwanska with 5,210 points. Besides Halep, the other Romanian players in top 100 are Irina-Camelia Begu (36), Monica Niculescu (37), and Alexandra Dulgheru (57). Simona Halep will play at the WTA tournament in Doha this week.
