Romanian saber fencer Tiberiu Dolniceanu lands bronze medal at World Fencing Championship

Romanian saber fencer Tiberiu Dolniceanu failed to qualify in the final at the World Fencing Championship, after being defeated by Russian Veniamin Reşetnikov. Dolniceanu will however return with a bronze medal, after defeating Italian Enrico Berre in the quarter finals. Romania's other three representatives, Iulian Teodosiu, Ciprian Gălăţeanu and Alin Badea were eliminated in the early rounds of the competition. The World Fencing Championship is currently taking place in Budapest, Hungary. The event started on August 5 and will end on August 12. Tiberiu Dolniceanu (in picture, third to the right), 25, is a Romanian saber fencer who competed in the 2012 Summer Olympics winning a silver medal in the saber team event.
