Romanian retailer Media Galaxy to open new store in Craiova, after EUR 1 mln investment

Electronics and IT retailer Media Galaxy, part of Altex Romania group, will open a new store next week in Electroputere Parc shopping mall in Craiova. The investment in the new store amounts to EUR one million, this being the 16th unit in Romania, reports local Mediafax. The new store has an area of over 2,500 sqm and will serve Craiova and neighboring cities, such as Calafat, Caracal, Corabia, Filiasi, Segarcea and Slatina. Altex Romania had a turnover of RON 1.13 billion (some EUR 254 million) in 2012, and a net profit of RON 12.3 million (over EUR 2.7 million), according to data published on the Ministry of Finance’s website.
