Romanian real estate investor Liviu Tudor becomes VP for Eastern Europe at European Property Federation

Romanian businessman Liviu Tudor, founder and president of the Romanian Association of Building Owners (RABO) and owner of several office compounds in Romania was recently named Vice-President responsible for Eastern Europe, within the European Property Federation (EFP). He has been a Member of EFP’s Managing Committee since February 2011.

From this position, the Romanian will outline regional development strategies and supervise the organization’s initiatives in Eastern European countries. This will include the coordination of the existing members in the region (Hungary and Bulgaria), as well as attracting new members to the organization. Liviu Tudor holds an Aeronautics degree from the Polytechnics Institute of Bucharest, and was awarded a scientific patent for an invention in the field of applied electronics. He also attended specialized courses at London Business School. Liviu Tudor was born in Piatra Neamt, Romania, in 1961, and has 23 years of experience in business, and over 15 years in real estate and commercial properties, being one of Romania's leading figures in this area. He is currently CEO of Genesis Development, a real estate investment and development company that owns two class-A business centers in Bucharest, with a gross leasable area of over 130,000 sqm. The two building compounds, namely West Gate (in opening picture) and Novo Park house the headquarters of various multinational companies such as HP, Kraft, Procter & Gamble, Raiffeisen Bank, Dacia-Renault, Bit-Defender, Volvo and many others. Before entering the real estate sector, Liviu Tudor was the founder of the first satellite communication company in Romania - Digicom S.A. He is also a member of the Young Presidents' Organization (YPO) and the Romanian Organization for the Club of Rome (ARCoR). The EFP was founded in Brussels in 1997 and brings together owners, investors, and developers from the real estate area. Its members own and manage property assets worth EUR 1.5 trillion. The Romanian Association of Building Owners (RABO) was launched in 2011 and is the first organization to unite leading local and international property investors operating in Romania.
