Romanian private healthcare operator exceeds 0.3 mln subscribers

Private healthcare operator Medlife recorded 320,000 subscribers last year, up 16.5% compared to 2013. The company, which has exceeded a national market share of 45%, targets a 20% advance in 2015, double compared to the market growth rate. "We opened three large clinics in Iasi, Galati and Constanta last year, generating pressure on the market for corporate customers that have subsidiaries and branches throughout the country," says Mihai Marcu, President of Medlife, cited by local Capital.ro. The intention to rapidly expand the subscriber portfolio, especially on a regional level, is the main business objective of Mirela Dogaru, the new Corporate Manager. She took over this position in November last year, also becoming member of Medlife's Administration Board. Medlife announced last year that it targeted an EUR 100 million turnover and more than EUR 10 million investments in greenfield projects and acquisitions in 2015. editor@romania-insider.com
