More refugees come from countries such as Afghanistan, where Romania is investing a lot of resources to accelerate the peace process, and this is “unacceptable”, said President Klaus Iohannis while in Brussels. The main source of refugees is Syria. However, a lot of refugees also come from Pakistan and Afghanistan. Over 500 Romanian soldiers have been involved in the peacemaking process in Afghanistan. It’s unacceptable for the country to become a source of refugees, given this context, Iohannis said. editor@romania-insider.com
