Romanian PM visits US to meet big companies and political leaders

Prime Minister Victor Ponta will visit United States to meet with US companies’ representatives and political leaders. He will leave Bucharest this evening and will come back Sunday, according to official sources. “The visit is predominantly economic, but there will be political meetings too,” the sources said, cited by local Mediafax. The PM met with the US charge d'affaires in Romania, Dean Thompson, last week, before the Government meeting. After the discussion he told the ministers that they need to remove every barrier for the US investors so that the Strategic Partnership can be economically efficient, not only politically and military. editor@romania-insider.com
