Romanian Otto Broker targets higher revenues from commercial credit and guarantees insurance policies

Online insurance broker Otto Broker plans to intermediate policies of commercial credit and guarantees of up to RON 7 million (some EUR 1.5 million) this year, up 30 - 40 percent against 2013. “We have confidence in the development potential of the commercial credit and guarantees insurances, and we estimate that, for the entire market, the increases on these insurance lines will be of 25 - 30 percent in 2014,” said the general manager of the broker, Victor Sraer, quoted by local business daily Ziarul Financiar. Last year, the company brokered policies of commercial credit and guarantees with a total value of RON 5 million (EUR 1.1 million), up almost 130 percent compared to the previous year. This week, Otto Broker will launch in Iasi, together with Omniasig VIG, a program that aims to show entrepreneurs and company managers how the insurance policies of commercial credit and guarantees can be used as a tool for business growth, reports Ziarul Financiar. In 2013, the total volume of premiums brokered by Otto Broker reached almost EUR 11 million, up 18 percent year-on-year, and the company targets higher results this year, of some EUR 13 million.
