Romanian oil carrier ups profit by over 60%

Oil carrier Conpet Ploiesti posted a net profit of EUR 11.3 million in 2014, up 61% over 2013. However, the turnover increased by only 7.5%, reaching EUR 84.6 million, according to company’s announcement, cited by local Ziarul Financiar. The operating revenues slightly dropped to EUR 90.8 million, while the operating expenses went down by 7.2% to EUR 78.6 million. The revenues from domestic oil transportation rose by 3.3% to EUR 77 million after the state had increased the regulated tariff at the beginning of 2014.
