Local private hospital Ponderas, which specializes in obesity surgery service, expects to reach a turnover of EUR 16 million in 2015, over 50% higher than in 2014. The company has recorded revenues of some EUR 12 million so far this year. The hospital specializes in a type of surgery called bariatric-metabolic surgery, which is advocated for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. The financial increase is due to the rebranding process and the hospital’s expansion into a new building at the beginning of this year, said Dr. Alina Ambrozie, Ponderas executive director. Ponderas also includes an imaging center and a clinic. The group also plans to expand its services in the region by accessing new markets. editor@romania-insider.com (photo source: ponderas on facebook)
