Romanian Lottery awards EUR 33 mln in prizes for first six months

The Romanian Lottery awarded over 2 million prizes in the first six months of the year, with a total value of some EUR 33 million. In June, the lottery awarded over 252,000 winnings that totalled over EUR 3.78 million. Over 90,000 prizes were awarded for the Loto 6/49 game, with a total value of over EUR 1.4 million, while some 44,700 winnings were given at Videoloterie, with a value of EUR 957,000. Total prizes of EUR 453,000 were awarded for the Joker game, while in the case of the Noroc game, the total value amounted to 438,000. In 2013, the Romanian Lottery awarded a total of 6.6 million prizes, with a value of over RON 615 million (or some EUR 140 million). Irina Popescu, irina.popescu@romania-insider.com
