Romanian insurer Groupama targets 5% revenue increase

Insurer Groupama Asigurări foresees a 5% increase in its Romanian revenues in 2015. It also plans a gross profit of EUR 4.5 million, from a gross profit of EUR 3.05 million in 2014, said Francois Coste, the company’s general manager. Last year, Groupama Romania recorded EUR 160.8 million in gross underwritten premiums, down 0.98% on 2013. The company ranked fourth on the Romanian insurance market, said deputy GM Calin Matei. The Casco car insurances represent the company’s most important business line, where Groupama ranks second on the Romanian market. It recorded on this segment gross underwritten premiums worth EUR 76.6 million, up 3.34%. editor@romania-insider.com
