Romanian insurance firm Astra Asigurari's headquarters up for sale by bank

The office building Omega City Business Center, which hosts the Astra Asigurari insurance firm and the newspaper Romania Libera’s headquarters, is up for sale by the bank for some EUR 14 million. The seller is Piraeus Bank, according to Ziarul Financiar. It is not the first time the building is on sale, as liquidator Phoenix Lar announced a EUR 9 million price tag for the office building back in March this year. The company which owns the office building, which is indirectly controlled by businessman Dan Adamescu, is currently insolvent. Adamescu also owns Astra Asigurari – which is currently under special administration – as well as the Romania Libera newspaper. Omega City Business Center is located in the Nerva Traian area, and covers some 12,100 sqm of leasable area on 11 floors.
