Local housing bank BCR Banca pentru Locuinte (BpL) recorded last year a 27% increase in deposits. These amounted to EUR 566 million, according to the bank. The value of contracts signed last year reached EUR 747 million, up 37% over 2013. The portfolio of loans granted by the bank increased by a third. These exceeded EUR 34.4 million at the end of 2014, compared to EUR 25.8 million at end-2013. The bank offers loans in Romanian currency lei, with a fixed interest rate throughout the contract. This amounts to 4.44% per year for the intermediate and advanced credits and 5% per year for the Bauspar credits. editor@romania-insider.com
