Romanian hotels welcome 11% more tourists in March

The number of tourists who checked in Romanian hotels and guesthouses rose by 11.1% in March compared to the same month of last year, to 645,800 people. The domestic tourists had a share of 75% of the total, according to the National Statistics Institute (INS). The number of tourists grew by 15.5% in the first three months of the year compared to the same period of 2015, up to 1.86 million. The internal tourism grew by 15.2% in the first quarter of the year reaching 1.44 million people. Romanian tourists represented 78% of the total number of tourists whereas the number of foreign advanced by 16.4% to 414,200. editor@romania-insider.com
