The Romanian Government recently approved the increase in the minimum gross salary to RON 975 (EUR 220) from January 1, 2015 and to RON 1,050 (EUR 237) from July 1, 2015. “Some 1.47 million employees in the public sector and 982,726 employees in the competitive sector will benefit from this measure,” said Corneliu Calota, the Government’s spokesman, cited by local Agerpres.
