Romanian Government publicizes salaries in state-owned companies: up to EUR 14,000 monthly paychecks

Managers of the state-owned companies in Romania get monthly allowances between EUR 2,500 and over EUR 14,000, according to the data provided recently by the Government. The allowances paid monthly to the board members are between some EUR 30 and EUR 7,300. The lowest pay for a board member is to be found at Conversmin, and the highest, at Electrica. The highest monthly allowance for a manager of a Romanian state-owned company is found at railways company CN Cai Ferate CFR SA - of EUR 14,583, followed closely by the salary received by the general manager of the Romanian Post - Posta Romana, of EUR 14,280. The allowance paid to the manager of Electrica is of over EUR 11,000 per month, while in the case of Tarom, Nuclearelectrica and Cuprumin the allowance stays at EUR 10,000. The lowest monthly salaries are paid to the managers of RA Monetaria Statului, RA Imprimeria BNR and CN Administratia Canale Navigabile SA - EUR 2,500, followed by Electrocentrale Grup - some EUR 2,700, according to the data provided by the Romanian Government. Moreover, a board member at Electrica receives around EUR 7,300 per month, a RA Administratia Fluviala a Dunarii de Jos Galati board member gets a monthly allowance of some EUR 5,100, while a CN Cai Ferate CFR SA board member gets EUR 3,400 per month. (.xls file) However, the Prime Minister Victor Ponta said he doesn’t know “what information reached the media” on this subject and said that, during the Cabinet’s meeting, there have been discussions on a list that was actually including the amounts proposed for this year’s budget in state-owned companies, according to local agency Mediafax.
