Romanian flower retailer joins eMAG’s marketplace online platform

Flower retailer Floridelux.ro has started selling its products through the marketplace platform operated by Romania’s largest online retailer eMAG, being the first Romanian flower shop listed on this platform, according to a company statement. More than 100 products, flower bouquets and arrangements exclusively made for this collaboration, are listed on eMAG’s marketplace platform starting October. Floridelux.ro expects to register revenues of some EUR 100,000 from this listing, which would represent 10% of the total 2015 turnover, according to company representatives. Floridelux.ro will periodically increase the number of products on eMAG’s marketplace. “Through this partnership, we want to bring the idea of offering flowers towards the online even more, because it is simpler, safer, and there is a larger variety,” said Marius Dosinescu, CEO and founder FLorideLux.ro. Floridelux offers various services and products such as bouquets and floral arrangements, gift baskets, business gifts, professional design for Christmas or any other important event. It delivers its products throughout Romania. eMAG Marketplace is a system through which selected partners display their own offers on emag.ro. The retailer expects a quarter of the total sales this year to be generated on this platform. eMAG announced earlier this year that it wanted to extend its product range to 1 million items by the end of the year.
