Romanian entrepreneur will open largest restaurant in an office building in Bucharest

The Bridge business center, developed by Forte Partners Group near the Basarab overpass, will host the largest restaurant ever opened in an office building in Bucharest. The restaurant, called Boutique Food Hall, will cover more than 1,000 sqm and will have 50 employees. Romanian entrepreneur Radu Stoica will develop the restaurant. Stoica owns two other units under the Boutique brand, namely Boutique du Pain – located at the ground floor of Excelsior Center building, and Boutique du Pain Junior – located at the ground floor of AFI Park 2 office building. By comparison, the new Boutique Food Hall will cover seven times the area of Boutique du Pain. The Boutique Food Hall will become operational at the beginning of September, once The Bridge building will be completed and the first tenants will move in. “Boutique Food Hall will be the largest restaurant opened at the ground floor of an office building, and the new concept, which is a first for the local market, aims to meet the increasingly diverse and sophisticated needs of employees in Bucharest. The restaurant will benefit from the presence of some 5,000 employees in The Bridge project (in its two phases), but it will for sure represent an attraction for other categories of consumers, employees from other nearby projects, and even students from the Regie campus,” said Bogdan Gubandru, Business Development Manager, DTZ Echinox – the company that brokered the lease contract. At lunchtime, the restaurant will be able to serve 500 clients. The Food Hall concept, which is becoming more popular in major cities in Western Europe, proposes the combination of several types of dishes under the same roof, from burgers, pizza and salads to Asian and Mediterranean cuisine. The Bridge business park is built on the site of the former Spicul bread factory in Bucharest, in two phases. The first stage, which will have a leasable area of over 36,000 sqm, is to be completed in September this year. Romania’s largest bank BCR leased half of the project’s first phase.
