Romanian employees to receive holiday vouchers

Romanian employees will receive holiday vouchers, worth within six average salaries, the Chamber of Deputies decided on June 3. The regulations will apply within 30 days of the law’s enforcement. The new piece of legislation received 303 votes in favor, whereas 12 MPs abstained, reports local Digi24. In the private sector, employees can benefit from holidays vouchers or holiday bonus, based on negotiations, whereas in the public sector, employees will benefit only from holiday vouchers, but not from money or other holiday bonuses. Holiday vouchers can be used only in Romania’s touristic destinations. These will also be issued electronically. editor@romania-insider.com
