Romanian electricity transport company Transelectrica ups profit by 85%

Romanian electricity transport company Transelectrica posted a EUR 83.3 million profit in 2014, up by 85% over 2013. It was the biggest profit in the company’s history. Revenues rose by 14%, to EUR 630 million, according to preliminary data. The revenues increased by 10% year-on-year in the fourth semester of 2014, but the net profit dropped by 3.3% in the same period. The company’s long-term debts decreased by 9.4% to EUR 315 million, whereas the short term debts grew by 24% to EUR 270 million. editor@romania-insider.com
