Romanian developers can sell Google Play Store apps directly from Romania

Romanian developers can now sell apps for Android through Google Play directly from Romania, and will be paid in local currency, after Google opened up its Google Wallet Merchant to Romania and seven other countries. Until May 1, Romanian developers were able to only offer free Android apps to users. After adding the eight countries, Google now allows the sale of apps in Google Play in 45 countries. Besides Romania, the other countries included on the list are Greece, Luxembourg, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, Turkey, Ukraine and Vietnam. The developers who want to set up a Google Wallet Merchant account, but haven’t published free apps so far, will pay a registration fee of USD 25. There are currently 134 countries where users can buy apps from Play Store, including Romania, and the number of countries that can upload free apps amounts to 150.
