Romanian Dacia ups sales in Europe by 15%

Dacia car sales in Europe increased in April by 14.7% year-on-year, reaching 38,934 units. Dacia grew its market share from 3% to 3.2%, according to the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA). The sales of the Renault group, which also produces the Dacia brand, went up by 15.3% to 126,454 units. It had the most significant growth in Europe. The sales recorded by German car groups Volkswagen and Daimler rose by 5.4%, respectively 7.8%. Dacia car sales increased between January and April this year by 7.7% in Europe, whereas its market share stood at 2.8%. Dacia car registrations in Europe amounted to 135,683 units in the first four months of the year. editor@romania-insider.com
