Romanian Dacia sales go down by over 8% in Germany

Dacia sales in Germany dropped by 8.1% in the first nine months of the year compared to the same period in 2014, reaching some 34,500 cars. During this period, the German car market rose by 5.5% to 2.4 million units. Dacia had a market share of 1.4% in Germany in the first nine months of the year, reports local Mediafax. In September, Dacia sales decreased by 22.8%, to 2,500 units, and the market share reached 0.9%. The car registrations rose in Germany by 4.8% to over 272,000 units. Among producers with high volume sales, Toyota is the only brand, besides Dacia, which recorded a drop in its sales in Germany between January and September. The Renault brand, part of the Renault group, which also owns Dacia, sold 0.7% more cars in Germany, in the first nine months of the year, reaching over 77,000 units. editor@romania-insider.com
