Romanian Communications Ministry targets 95% EU funds absorption rate

The Ministry for the Information Society will have a 95% absorption rate for European funds at the end of 2015, said Razvan Cotovelea, Minister for the Information Society. "Between 2014 and 2020 we will focus on the structural funds. We have EUR 500 million financing from the EU, plus co-financing from the state budget. We expect only on our Digital Agenda direct investments in the economy to exceed EUR 1 billion in the coming years. The IT&C sector in Romania is around EUR 15 billion.
