Romanian car model makes it to EU top 20

Two Dacia models were the only car models produced in Romania that entered the top 100 best selling cars in the EU. Dacia Sandero ranked 20th in the first quarter of the year, with almost 48,000 cars sold, while SUV Duster, which ranked 36th, sold 36,000 units, reports local Ziarul Financiar. Logan, which is also produced in the Dacia plants, ranked 107th, whereas the Ford model manufactured in Romania ranked 114th, according to carsalesbase.com. The best selling cars in the EU were Volkswagen Golf, with 115,000 units in the first quarter of the year, and Ford Fiesta and Renault Clio, each with sales of over 85,000 units. Sandero managed to outrank models such as Peugeot 308 or Renault Megane, which sold 45,400, respectively 42,500 units.
